Dog Bites Increase During the Summer
Dog bite injuries increase from April through September, peaking in July. The main reason may be that, in the Summer, kids are home from school. Brandon Postmaster Gregory Tafelski says, "Children get out of school and want to greet the letter carrier, and out comes Fido right behind them. The next thing you know, you've got a puppy in the letter carrier's lap."
